How I met ToddieM
ToddieM and I had an arranged meeting at a restaurant in Brea. We met for an early dinner at 4:00 p.m. Four hours later we were still deep into our conversation. Such a shame that he had to pick up his wife from the airport. Perhaps I should have gone with him to prolong the experience.
Todd is a very pleasant person and an absolutely brilliant wit. We shared interesting stories and factoids about our lives. One of the many high points was learning the importance of buying surgical instruments from reliable sources, as opposed to, say, some dude at a swap meet.
We have a lot of things in common, and enough things different to make our exchanges very interesting.
Had I known aforehand how things were to go I would have hired a film crew to document the entire four hours so that I could review it over and over and share it with my friends as well. It would likely be made into a full-length feature film at some point in time. It would be called My Dinner with Toddie (Have you ever heard of My Dinner with Andre? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082783/plotsummary)
We’re already looking forward to the next time that I’m in Southern California.
